It was really difficult to find someone though - everyone I found (both around Melbourne and online) either only saw kids, people on the NDIS (which I'm not), or elderly people. It took 12 months before I found Sarah/Very Helpful Chats, so I'm keen to share info about them for anyone else in my situation who's looking for support. Sarah is also neurodivergent themself and is the first health professional who has lived experience of my challenges, which I find so helpful - it makes so much difference to have someone relate and understand your challenges!
Very Helpful Chats also have other health professionals - such as psychologists - who specialise in neurodivergence in adults, and in a lot of cases, are also neurodivergent themselves. I find it expensive @ $215/session, but I do get about $61 back per session for 5 seasons a year through a chronic disease management plan from my GP. Their processes are very neurodivergent-friendly too - my interactions with them have all been online, including with their admin/reception staff. My appointments are all via telehealth.
