It's open 24 hours and makes it ideal for late arrivals or long days out.  

FamilyMart provides similar convenience but includes lunch boxes and onigiri, offering a bit of variety though it is less widespread.  

For larger grocery runs, Big C is the most economical. It sells fresh produce, packaged goods, and household items, with affordable prepared meals and fruit packs ready to eat. In the late afternoon, cooked meals and bakery items are often discounted. These discounts help keep costs low, it also give travelers chances to sample freshly prepared Thai dishes without stretching the budget.

Lotus’s (Tesco Lotus) carries a broader range of imported goods alongside Thai staples. Prices are slightly higher than Big C but it’s useful for those seeking familiar international brands.  

Makro follows a wholesale model with a warehouse style layout. It offers bulk packs of fruit, drinks, and snacks at lower prices, making it practical for longer stays or family travel.
