I normally have pretty high expectations when it comes to trades because of my background working in architecture and construction, so I notice very quickly when someone cuts corners or lacks attention to detail. What impressed me about STV wasn’t just that the TV worked afterwards — it was the overall professionalism and care they brought to the job.
The installation was done in our living room against a black batten feature wall, which honestly could have looked terrible if the positioning or cable management was off even slightly. I was worried because feature walls are expensive and easy to damage, and I’ve seen plenty of rushed AV installations where things end up crooked, messy or visually distracting.
What stood out was how much attention they gave to alignment, spacing and the final visual outcome. They didn’t just “install a TV”; they treated it like part of the interior design of the room. The mounting height was carefully discussed, the TV was perfectly centred with the wall battens, and they took extra care not to damage the finishes during installation.
Another thing that impressed me was that they actually cleaned up after themselves and tested everything properly before leaving. A lot of trades rush off once the physical install is done, but they stayed to make sure the TV setup was functioning correctly and looked right from different viewing angles in the room.
The final result completely changed the feel of the space. The TV now looks integrated into the architecture rather than just hanging on a wall. Even visitors comment on how clean and professional it looks.
As someone who deals with contractors regularly, I can honestly say this was one of the rare experiences where the workmanship genuinely exceeded expectations rather than simply meeting them. I would absolutely use them again and would confidently recommend them to anyone wanting a high-quality AV installation with strong attention to detail and presentation.
