Pak Khlong Talat is a popular cultural landmark in Bangkok. Its name, meaning “market at the mouth of the canal” reflects its riverside position near Memorial Bridge. Over the years, the site has shifted roles, it began as a floating market, later became a fish market and eventually transformed into the city’s famous flower market.  

The market supplies blossoms to temples, households and hotels across Bangkok. Orchids, marigolds and jasmine garlands line its stalls, with vendors preparing offerings for ceremonies and festivals. The market is most lively in the early morning or late evening. Alongside flowers, there are stalls selling fruits, vegetables and street food.
