The West Island line MTR extension stops: hku station is a relatively new addition to the MTR network and one of its deepest, sitting about 70 meters underground. It’s a major station for university and local high school students, as well as commuters from Pok Fu Lam and Kennedy Town who rely on the West Island Line for quick access towards Central and Kowloon.

At Sai Ying Pun station, the next stop, there are traditional markets and shops. Recommend to take a stroll checking out the mix of fresh produce and everyday bustle. Over in Sheung Wan, there are historic dried seafood shops that highlights long established businesses supplying ingredients used across town.

There is a convenient minivan from Sai Yun Pun, usually get to use a few times a week. The minivan heads uphill along Bonham Road and Caine Road, offering an easy route into the Mid Levels and the quieter hillside stretch above the city.
