Best ramen deal in Sydney - Ippudo (first Wed of the month)

I like ramen but I am not a ramen snob. Ippudo is probably not the best ramen out there but it is always tasty and consistent.

The true test of a restaurant and its food is whether we go back time and time again.

In this case, Ippudo must be a good deal as we have gone back to the Ippudo promotion time and time again, despite having to queue for yonks (30 mins to an hour on average).

First Wed of each month. Ippudo offers Buy 1 get 1 free. A basic ramen costs $20-21 on the day. 4 of us would order 3 ramens (and getting 6 bowls). So $60 or so for 6 ramen is hard to beat.

In Sydney, the monthly promotion is available in Chatswood, Macquarie Centre, City (World Square) and Parramatta. The same promotion is also available in Melbourne and Perth.

We would usually go for dinner at Chatswood. A tip. If you don't want to wait, get there before 5. Later than 5:30, expects a long wait (assume minimum half an hour).

My go to order would be the Bonito-based ramen. The other "classics" are in line with other ramen places typically. If you are looking for something different, try the Nirvana vegetarian ramen.

One more tip.... Who knows if the promotion will continue... Worth checking its Instagram on the day (first Wed of each month) to see if it is still on.
