The Boatshed Café at Hallett Cove has to be one of the most scenic cafés and restaurants in Adelaide.

Perched right on the coastline and surrounded by stunning ocean views, it’s one of those places that never gets old no matter how many times you visit. With the beach on one side and the incredible Hallett Cove Boardwalk Trail on the other, it’s the perfect destination whether you’re stopping in after a walk or making a morning of it.

Their sit-down breakfast experience is next level. There’s something special about enjoying great food and coffee while watching the waves roll in. The menu is fantastic, the atmosphere is relaxed and the views genuinely make you feel like you’re on holiday.

If you’re after something quick, their takeaway window is brilliant. Their freshly canned iced lattes are a personal favourite and perfect for grabbing before heading off on a coastal walk. It’s such a unique touch and makes for an easy coffee stop without needing to sit down.

What I love most is that the venue caters for every occasion. Whether you’re chasing a casual coffee, breakfast with friends or something a little more special, it delivers every time. Their upstairs restaurant is absolutely sensational and offers a more elevated dining experience with some of the best views in South Australia. It’s the perfect spot for a date night, celebration or long lunch overlooking the ocean.

As a local, I feel incredibly lucky to have this place on my doorstep. Great food, great coffee, unbeatable views and one of the best coastal locations in Adelaide. The Boatshed is a must-visit, especially if you like Espresso Martini’s at breakfast!
