Free online resources for tech investors

SpaceX IPO is available for Australian investors. In the coming months, OpenAI and Anthropic will be IPO as well.

I have been investing in technology stocks for 30 years. I don't know how will these stocks perform after IPO. Personally, I am staying away from them. There are more interesting money making ideas out there.

To be honest, I don't know how much do people really understand a lot of these new technologies or opportunities. I for the life of me can't figure out if SpaceX is can get its data centre in space idea work. Or is Starlink really that great ?

But to make money, one needs to be informed. Thought I would share these free online resources to keep up to date in the tech space:

1. Techmeme.com => It is a curated feed with tech news over night. A bonus is it offers full access to some WSJ articles.

2. Follow Jukan (https://x.com/jukan05) on X.com => He is right on top of the semiconductor/AI hardware/semi news.

3. UDN is a local paper in Taiwan (https://udn.com/news/cate/2/6644) => Local news (only in Chinese though) on the semiconductor/hardware companies (the likes of TSMC, Hon Hai, Mediatek) under the 科技產業 section. Remember TSMC manufactures almost all of these AI chips so worthwhile to keep in touch with Taiwan.

4. Check out Digitimes (https://www.digitimes.com/) => For more hardware/semi news... BUT local calls it Dodgytimes sometimes. Good news is it has free articles in English.

5. Another good source is Sina News (https://tech.sina.com.cn/) => The catch is it is in Chinese. BUT it has very good coverage of the latest developments in Chinese tech/internet names.... My personal view is at some point Chinese equities will be in a bull market (again) and the growth stocks will melt up like you wouldn't believe (vs. a very tough bear market environment these days)....
