If you are looking for a durable insole - Try this one

I know this is a strange recommendation.

Once upon a time, I saw a podiatrist because my knees hurt. The podiatrist took a film of me walking and suggested I needed an insole. Apparently, my foot rolls sideway when I walk. I got an insole custom made at the podiatrist and it cost like $3-400 then. The custom insole was a piece of hard plastic/resin molded to back of my feet to form a base to prevent my foot from rolling sideway.

Since then, I have bought new insoles with every new shoes/sneakers as the custom one stays with the work leather shoe. Most of them are gel based or some sort of harder rubber/cloth-based with arch in the middle.

The problem for me is the typical insoles don't last. They typically cost between $10-50 if not more depends on where you buy.

I came across this insole on eBay.... If you search on eBay: " 3/4 Orthotic Shoe Insoles Inserts Flat Feet High Arch Support Plantar Fasciitis". You will find it. There are only few SKUs amongst a sea of alternatives... So it is not especially popular.

But for me, it is shaped like my custom insole (with support at back of the foot). It is hard plastic and it holds its shape. I am onto my 4th pair of sneakers with the same insole. When buying the insole, it has different sizes as well and the front of the insole has different inserts to pick from.

One tip is initially took some getting used to in the first 2-3 days but now I don't feel it anymore.

It is available on eBay but not many SKUs (so presumably, it is not as popular as the usual type). It costs between $15-17... So in line with most insoles but more expensive than the cheap and cheerful ($5-8). If you want it cheaper, AliExpress has it as well. I bought another one recently at $10-11.
