I want to strongly recommend BG Electrician, who is also an approved installation contractor for Good Guys split system air conditioners, and I have used them for multiple installations in my house.
He installed all the air conditioning units in my house, including the living room and all bedrooms. Before starting, he carefully assessed each room and advised on the most suitable unit size and placement to ensure efficient cooling and airflow throughout the house.
One major advantage of this company is the efficiency of their quotation and booking process. Unlike many other companies that require an in-home inspection just to provide a quote—which often means taking time off work and waiting at home—they do not require a separate site visit for pricing.
Instead, the pricing is already standardised through Good Guys’ fixed installation pricing system, and customers can simply select options such as back-to-back installation or other standard setups online or over the phone. This significantly reduces waiting time and avoids unnecessary delays caused by multiple appointments just for quoting.
One thing I really value is that they send a two-person team (one licensed electrician and one air conditioning installer), which makes the whole process very efficient. In my experience with other trades, it is often frustrating because they only send an electrician first, and then you have to book another appointment for the installer, which causes delays and repeated scheduling issues.
With BG Electrician, everything is handled in one visit. They arrive together, coordinate the work properly, and most importantly, they have never changed or delayed any scheduled time, which is extremely reliable compared to other tradies I have used.
The installation process itself was very professional. They worked carefully to minimise damage to walls and ceilings, and ensured all wiring and piping were neatly hidden and securely installed. The final finish was clean and well executed, with strong attention to detail.
Over the years, all the units they installed have continued to work perfectly without any issues such as leaks, noise problems, or electrical faults.
💰 Price: approximately AUD $900–$1,000 per spilt system unit installation with bracket and back to back installation (depending on unit type and complexity)
📸 I have after-installation photos showing both the indoor and outdoor units. As this was a new installation, there was no previous unit in place, so the photos represent the completed installation.
What I value most is the reliability, efficiency, and time-saving process of their service. The combination of fixed pricing, no need for separate quoting visits, and consistent on-time attendance makes them stand out compared to many other tradies.
