I want to highly recommend the team at Goodyear Sumners Park (Sharon & Russell) for their excellent service on a difficult handbrake issue I had.

My handbrake had been loose and unreliable for a long time. I had already visited several different workshops and spent a significant amount of money trying to fix the issue, but none of them were able to properly resolve it. Most workshops suggested replacing parts or even the entire handbrake assembly, but the problem kept coming back.

When I brought the car in, they checked and inspected the entire braking system free of charge, and carefully identified that the issue was caused by a worn adjustment mechanism and loose screw tension.

Instead of recommending an expensive replacement, they took a very practical and cost-effective approach.

During the process, the owner Sharon and the manager Russell actively called around to source a second-hand handbrake set as a cheaper alternative. At the same time, the technicians were also considering different low-cost repair solutions to avoid unnecessary replacement.

Eventually, the mechanic fixed the issue by modifying the existing setup and reinforcing the screw adjustment, which restored proper tension and fully solved the problem.

Even more impressively, they did not charge me for the repair.
