3M weather strip for door and window - Surprisingly sticky and durable

I know this is a strange recommendation. A corner use case most people would not come across. Interesting nonetheless :)

Our backdoor has a pretty tall gap in the bottom, relative to the ground.

I was trying to figure out a way to get a door seal/weather strip for it. But I did not want one of those heavy duty ones where you have to drill holes to install.

Ended up going with the 3M weather strip. Top half of the strip is glue. Bottom half is the rest of the rubber strip. Very simple to install. Take the "cover" off and just stick it to the bottom of the door. The cheapest option as well.

I installed the strip such that the bottom of the strip is brushing against the ground. I remembered at the time wondering how long was it going to last.

Before I knew it, it has been a few years already. I must say it is an impressive product.

If you have a door/window gap to seal, it is a good product to keep in mind.

Convenient to shop as well.. I bought the weather strips on eBay. It is still readily available on the website. This is the title of a listing on eBay: "3M5M Door Bottom Seal Strip Weather Window Rubber Seal Weatherstrip Windproof D". Cost is $6 for 5M (including postage).
