Big Tints

We manage a commercial office building and had been putting off doing anything about the windows for years, mainly because we assumed it would mean weeks of disruption to tenants and a huge quote at the end of it. Zac from Big Tints changed that assumption pretty quickly.

He came out to assess the building himself, walked every floor, and gave us a clear breakdown of where the heat load and glare were actually coming from, rather than just quoting a blanket price for the whole glass area. Turned out the west-facing floors were the real problem, both for tenant comfort in the afternoons and for the air conditioning bills, so we ended up prioritising those levels first and staging the rest over a couple of visits to keep costs manageable.

Communication throughout was excellent. Zac coordinated directly with building management to schedule the work floor by floor after hours, so there was zero disruption to any of the businesses operating during the day. His crew were professional, worked efficiently, and left each floor spotless before moving to the next.

The results have been noticeable almost immediately. Tenants have commented on how much more comfortable their offices are in the afternoon, screen glare complaints have basically stopped, and our facilities team has already flagged a drop in cooling costs on the affected floors compared to the same period last year.

What set Zac apart was how much he treated it like a proper commercial project rather than a standard tint job: staged pricing, after-hours access, tenant liaison, and a level of communication with our facilities manager that made the whole thing painless from our end.

We've now got the remaining floors booked in with Big Tints for later in the year.
