Sydney Day Trip Hawkesbury River

Looking for a short day trip out of Sydney, head north to the Hawkesbury River. It’s only about an hour’s drive (or you can take the train to Brooklyn). Once you’re there the vibe is instantly more relaxed. I recommend to grab the classic fish and chips at Fitzies, it’s in a laid back setting and the marina is only a short stroll away. After that, wander over to the Hawkesbury River Oyster Shed to taste the fresh delicious local oysters and prawns. It’s right on the water with gorgeous view of the Hawkesbury River. Between the fresh oysters and comfort fish and chips, it’s a perfect Sydney day escape without the long drive.
