Life is always so hectic. So many things going on. Sometimes, it is good to take a break and slow down and take in the surrounding.
And often we forget what is always there.
The other day, I was in the City (Sydney) with time to kill. I wandered to the Botanical Garden.
I went through the Domain. Went to the Art Gallery. And took the path to the Lady Macquarie Chair and cut through the Botanical Garden.
Must say I forgot what a lovely walk it was. It was peaceful and quiet walking through the Botanical Garden during the week day (not lunch hour). Along, the shoreline, took in the Sydney Harbour and the Coat Hanger and the naval base on the Wooloomooloo side.
The highlight for me was I walked by this gentleman. He was lying on his Harley. Listening to music. Enjoying the sun. Quietly staring into the harbour. With not a care in the world. The word Freedom came into mind as I walked past. Had a nice chat when I asked if I could take a photo of him.
Next time, if you are in the city, looking for some "me time" or breathing space from the hustle and bustle of life, do wander over to the Botanical Garden and the Lady Macquarie Chair.
