The plumber who saved me from a much bigger headache – SeaSouth Plumbing & Hot Water
Owning an investment property means you get very good at dealing with problems from a distance.
A dripping tap? Annoying.
A blocked drain? Frustrating.
A leaking toilet system? Something you really don’t want to ignore — especially when you know that every drop of water is potentially adding to the next water bill and, if left long enough, could turn into a much bigger problem.
That’s exactly what happened with my investment property.
The toilet system had developed a leak that just wouldn’t stop. It wasn’t necessarily the dramatic kind of plumbing disaster you see in movies — there wasn’t water pouring through the ceiling — but it was one of those problems where you know something isn’t right and you don’t want to leave it sitting there getting worse.
The challenge was that I wasn’t dealing with it in my own home. It was my investment property, so I needed someone I could trust to actually diagnose the problem, fix it properly and communicate with me along the way.
That’s when I contacted SeaSouth Plumbing & Hot Water.
And honestly, this is why I wanted to recommend them.
It would have been very easy for a plumber to simply replace a part, stop the immediate leak and move on.
Instead, they took the time to work out exactly where the problem was coming from and what needed to be done to properly resolve it.
They fixed the leaking toilet system and, importantly, left me with confidence that the problem had actually been dealt with rather than temporarily patched up.
For an investment property, that peace of mind is worth a lot.
When you aren’t physically there, you need a tradie who will treat the property as if it were their own.
You don’t want to be organising someone to come back a few weeks later because the original problem wasn’t properly fixed.
SeaSouth made the whole process easy.
They were straightforward to deal with, communicated what was happening and got the job sorted without turning what was already an annoying problem into a huge ordeal.
The total cost of the job was $230.
And that’s the reason I’m recommending them here.
It’s not because they simply turned up on time or because I’d give them five stars on a review.
It’s because when I had a plumbing problem at a property I don’t live in, I felt comfortable handing it over to them and trusting that they would actually sort it out.
That’s the kind of tradie I want in my phone.
The next time I have a plumbing or hot water issue — at my investment property or at home — SeaSouth Plumbing & Hot Water will be one of the first numbers I call.
And if a friend told me they had a plumbing problem, I’d have no hesitation giving them their details.
Before: A toilet system that was continuously leaking and needed attention.
After: The leak was properly repaired and the toilet system was back to working as it should.

Sometimes the best tradies aren’t the ones you remember because they did something flashy.
They’re the ones you remember because they took a problem off your hands and made it disappear.
