AliExpress (for PC gadget)

My old PC speakers recently went radio silence.

I first started looking around on eBay. The cheapest new speakers I could find on eBay was around $12.

As you know, many of these PC gadgets are made in China. Many Australian sellers are selling identical items from China on eBay.

In my search, I also looked up AliExpress. I saw this deal where this set of speaker (see Pic 1) was going for $5. Upon check out, the final price came to $6.5 (including shipping). Check out was straight forward. AliExpress asked for the credit card. Did not require Chinese payment apps like Ali or Tencent Pay.

The order was placed on 10th Sept. It arrived today (18th Sept). Actually, speed was not bad at all. Also tracking info was good. AliExpress sent delivery updates frequently e.g. when the package left China, when it arrived with local carrier etc etc.

The speakers came in a box. So packaging was good enough.

Then the moment of truth. I plugged the speakers into the PC. They worked.

Now the happy news. I went on eBay and looked around. The same set of speakers (with the same photos) are going for around $20 on eBay. See Pic 2.

Next time if you are looking for PC gadgets, worth checking out AliExpress as well.

Note... The purchase went smoothly. So no issue there. With AliExpress, I would probably only shop for lower value items there. I haven't tested what happens if a transaction has problems... Whereas, I am pretty comfortable that eBay will somehow make it right if anything goes wrong.

BUT overall, prices on AliExpress are very competitive. Also look out for the coupons for extra savings.
