Flex X Cop 2 is the sequel to Flex X Cop. To be honest, I have forgotten about the story of season 1.
However, season 2 is worth watching. There is a good chance I will remember it.
FXC 2 is a police K-drama, with a twist. The main character (Ahn Bo-Hyun) is a detective, who happens to be the heir of a chaebol. The fun part of the story was how Ahn used power at his disposal to help with his cases.
Think of FXC 2 as a series in 2 halves. The first half was made up of individual cases. The cases were interesting actually. Inevitably, it was Ahn who had this bright spark at some point and solved the case.
The memorable part of FXC 2 was the second half of season 2. Let's just say it turned into a Voice-like thriller. Voice was too traumatic for me. I refused to watch season 3 actually. In FXC 2, the antagonist was truly creepy and scary. Fortunately, it wasn't as heavy going as Voice. I still managed to finish FXC 2.
I like the support cast and the various side stories of people around Ahn. I also like the fact that the drama was focusing on twist and turn in each of the cases and did not jam any un-necessary romance in the story line. The antagonist was also genuinely despicable.
FXC 2 has 14 episodes. Did not feel "long" at all. I found myself bingeing through the episodes (especially the later episodes).
Its rating on Asianwiki is 92. Also domestic rating in Korea started at 6% in episode 1 and almost doubled through the run.
FXC 2 is worth watching. It offers interesting twists from the typical police K-drama. The thriller aspects were well done.
It is available on Disney+.
