Full disclose. I was in a hurry so did not stop to try the Banh Mi but $8 is really the cheapest Banh Mi I have seen around Sydney CBD area recently. It is also price competitive vs. prices elsewhere (even vs. Cabramatta). This is not an advertisement for them. Just sharing a cheap food place I came across. At the end of the day, the place is someone having a go at supporting his/her family. Like many other small businesses really.
I miss the old days when a Banh Mi would cost $5 in Hunter Connection.
Looking at prices on the menu, other stuffs on the menu are only OK.
The place is kind of in the middle of nowhere so guess it has to be price competitive. It is around 2-3 mins walk from Central Station on Elizabeth Street.
I wonder about if the Banh Mi is good. Reviews on Google are a bit mixed. But a Banh Mi is a Banh Mi. A good Banh Mi has good bread and good/lots of fillings..... But most of them taste roughly the same in Sydney.
If you have a chance to try, please share in the comment. Or if you know of other cheap Banh Mi around Sydney, please share.
